About Tempe Elite Cabinets: Cabinet Pros in AZ
Tempe Elite Cabinets has spent more than 15 years refacing, building, and installing cabinetry across Tempe and the Salt River Valley. We are a shop first and a sales operation second, which means the person who measures your kitchen has built one. Refacing and small-kitchen work is the core of what we do, and around it we build custom kitchens, vanities, closets, garage storage, pantries, laundry rooms, islands, office built-ins, media walls, mudrooms, countertops, and commercial casework.
Tempe is 40 square miles with nowhere left to expand, so almost nothing here is new.
The neighborhoods around the university and off Southern and Broadway are 1950s to 1970s ranch and Haver-style houses: eight-foot ceilings, plaster or early drywall, a soffit framed in above the uppers, and a galley kitchen sized for a household that owned far fewer appliances than yours does. The condos and townhomes near Mill Avenue and the lake are tighter still.
That housing stock is why our default answer is different from a suburban shop's. We go frameless to recover interior width, take the soffit out where the framing allows and run cabinets to the ceiling, convert low shelves to deep drawers, and reface sound plywood boxes rather than selling a teardown.
It costs us bigger jobs and it is still the right advice.
The construction details are chosen for the desert.
Boxes are 3/4-inch furniture-grade plywood with dado-and-glue joinery and a full plywood back, panels are floated and finished on all six faces so a dry June does not open a hairline at the panel edge, material acclimates in your house before install, and painted work is sprayed in catalyzed conversion varnish rather than brushed enamel because a west-facing run in July is genuinely hard on a coating.
Hardware is Blum or Grass, since fine monsoon dust is what actually kills a cheap slide. We build to KCMA and ANSI A161.1 standards and use CARB Phase 2 compliant panels. Licensed, insured, and bonded, a member of the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association, with a written workmanship warranty on every job and a free in-home design consultation.

How Tempe Elite Cabinets works
How a job with Tempe Elite Cabinets runs, start to finish
Site visit first, always. We measure, look at the real condition of the work area, and ask what you are actually trying to solve — then you get an itemized free estimate in writing with materials, scope and a realistic date on it.
Once the work starts, the same crew stays on the job until it is done. We protect the surrounding area, clean up daily, and tell you the moment something under the surface changes the plan, because the alternative is a surprise invoice and nobody wants that conversation. Written workmanship warranty on every job backs the finished work.
What we will not do
We do not quote a cabinet job over the phone, take deposits before a written scope exists, or bid work we are not set up to do properly. If your project needs a different trade, we say so and point you at someone who does it well. Losing a job is cheaper than doing one badly in Tempe.
Where Tempe Elite Cabinets works and who we work with
Tempe, AZ first, then the surrounding communities of the Salt River Valley: Scottsdale, Phoenix, Glendale, Peoria, Surprise, Goodyear, Buckeye, Avondale and more. Each of those has its own page with local detail rather than a copy of this one.
Work splits roughly between homeowners and commercial property — offices, retail, restaurants, apartment complexes and HOA boards across the Salt River Valley. Start with the Tempe services, the Tempe Elite Cabinets homepage, or just call (855) 416-1185.

What Tempe Customers Say
They looked at our 1968 kitchen and said the boxes were fine and we should reface. Took the soffit out, ran the uppers to the ceiling, new doors and drawers, and it feels like a different room.
Only shop that explained why solid raised panels move in our climate and why they let the wood sit in the house first. Quartersawn white oak, inset doors, and every reveal is still even.
Nine-foot-wide condo kitchen and they got a pantry cabinet, roll-outs, and deep pot drawers into it without moving a single pipe. Practical people who measure twice.
Small budget, honest advice. They converted the low shelves to drawers and swapped every hinge to soft-close for a fraction of what two other companies quoted for a rebuild.
They asked what I could reach before drawing anything. Drawers instead of low shelves, D-pulls rather than knobs, and knee clearance at the vanity. Nobody else brought it up.
Built the break room and reception casework for our suite and hit the date. Laminate tops, 3mm edges, and they coordinated the data drops with our contractor without being chased.
